Google Font API

What?

Google have released a resource for web designers which is currently at the beta stage but you can still use it. It allows web designers to load new fonts from Google to use on there own web site.

As this is currently in beta there are a limited number of fonts available but this will surely increase over time.

Why?

This gives you a quick and easy way of using different font types on your website. Just by using an extra CSS file from Googles API and a change to your fonts in your CSS file and you can use this font.

How?

To use the Google font API all you have to do is:

  1. Go here http://www.google.com/webfonts
  2. Search for your font
  3. Click on use this font.
  4. Follow the on screen instructions to include the Google API CSS link and adding the font type to the website.
